Prediction results are not guaranteed.  Prediction calculations may vary in accuracy depending on many
factors including body area, etiology, age, sex, disparity between bone and chronologic age. Delayed or
premature puberty may skew results.

The prediction method used in this app is based on the Multiplier method pioneered by Dr. Dror Paley and
first published in JBJS (Am.) 2000.  The multiplier method uses Multiplier tables and prediction formulae (see
OTHER CHARTS) Since then Dr. Paley has developed Multiplier tables for the lower limb (femur, tibia and foot
height); foot length; upper limb (humerus, radius and ulna); spine; sitting and standing height for normals
and achondroplasia. The age specific coefficient from the multiplier tables can be used with the prediction
formulae to predict bone length, height, limb length discrepancy, timing of epiphysiodesis and growth
remaining.
